The most depressing thing in all of this is that as long as they stick to Dolchstoßlegenden, the Democrats will not change their ways, especially not get rid of the leadership that got them into the sorry state they are in.

Rather than continue to badmouth Sanders (and his followers) and treat him as a spoilsport, they should embrace him as the one who showed them the general direction they should move in (I'm not talking about details here). They lost precisely because they ignored his message and stuck to their "new demographic" illusion--but they apparently unable to admit this.Ulrichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02086202853174403008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3099363488280675328.post-35721074755668178222016-12-12T23:41:06.755-05:002016-12-12T23:41:06.755-05:00Seems to me that at least a few Clinton supporters...
Seems to me that at least a few Clinton supporters were even blaming Bernie Sanders for daring to run against her during the primaries, and in her most recent appearance, she herself appeared to be blaming "fake news." So Clinton, who is notorious for not admitting her mistakes, is clearly a big fan of Dolchstoßlegenden, which is a wonderful word for a terrible time. I remember one occasion when the tone-deafness of the Clinton campaign became obvious to me: During the last game of the World Series, I saw for the first time spots by the Trump and Clinton campaigns (it was the first time bec. I almost never watch TV), and I was stunned: Clinton's spots harped back to the "sex" tapes, which by then were old news—I actually cringed. More importantly, did they really think that this type of message was their best bet to impress a baseball audience? Trump, on the other hand, hit Clinton with the character issue, a favorite topic of his supporters.Ulrichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02086202853174403008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3099363488280675328.post-57776437762224305472016-11-29T08:31:51.606-05:002016-11-29T08:31:51.606-05:00A very succinct analysis of the election results. ...A very succinct analysis of the election results.
